No Evening Service

Service Times

This Sunday, May 3rd, join us
at our morning services
at either 8:30 or 11:00 AM.
There will not be any Sunday School classes at this time, nor will we have Sunday night or Wednesday night services
until a future date to be determined later.
You will still be able to view
the services, along with Sunday School lessons on our Church’s Facebook and Youtube pages.

Giving Opportunity

If you have used Bibles, used Christian devotionals or used Sunday School materials, please bring them to the church office. We are gathering materials to send to LovePackages. This ministry distributes Christian literature to thousands of churches and mission fields around the world.

Are you a first time visitor?

Thank you for being here with us where we are committed to loving God and loving people. We would love to get to know you better! Please see an usher for a connection card and let us bless you with a small guest gift.

Welcome back!

Our church family has been longing for this day when we can meet again together and see each other’s beautiful faces!
Please remember that precautions still need to be in place during this time. Reopening will be an ongoing process rather than a one time event.
  • For May, we will hold the 8:30 and 11:00 services.
  • The nursery and children’s classes will be closed.
  • At this time no Sunday School or Evening classes will be held.
In June we plan to open up classes as long as the spread of the virus is trending down.
Please pray for the leadership of Calvary in making further evaluations and decisions on the timeline of reopening.
All of us want to get back to normal! But we must do it wisely.
Social distancing guidelines means that services will look a little different.

Conformed or Transformed?

‘Do not be conformed…but be transformed…’ Romans 12:2 NKJV

Chuck Swindoll said, ‘We like to imagine ourselves a race of rugged individuals-the Patrick Henrys, Davy Crocketts and Lone Rangers. The truth is, we hate to appear different lest we be ostracized, branded fanatics and rejected. So, we conform. You’ll see it in the child eager to please; the adolescent aligning with peer pressure; the adult breaking their back to keep up with the Joneses.’ Just being different for its own sake is likely to be worthless, even counterproductive. What God wants from us is our willingness to be radically transformed. ‘Therefore, I urge you…to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.’ (Romans 12:1-2 NIV)        Here are two important observations to help you reach that goal: First: Transformation belongs to believers. The unbeliever can’t break the world’s control over them without Christ, but believers are promised: ‘…the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.’ (1 John 4:4 NLT) God’s indwelling Spirit enables you to resist the world’s pressure to conform you to its ways. Secondly: God’s appeal is urgent. ‘I urge you, brothers.’ Words like beg, plead, beseech are used in some translations because the appeal isn’t secondary or optional. It’s vital, a divine imperative! God is seeking for surrendered vessels that are ready to be transformed for His use. Are you willing to say, ‘Yes, Lord, use me!
